"A safe space for adolescents to express themselves freely when it comes to SRHR."
Kigali Menstruation Station is a pioneering platform dedicated to educating adolescents on sexual reproductive health and rights. Open to both boys and girls, our aim is to foster informed, open conversations around menstruation, hygiene, and related topics in a safe, supportive environment.
Upon entering the station, visitors are greeted by a photo gallery wall that introduces the organization's vision, mission, and history, along with educational displays showcasing the evolution of menstruation materials. This space also includes a positivity section designed to encourage open dialogue and promote confidence in discussing these important topics.
The heart of our space includes three Experience Chambers—small, immersive rooms where visitors can explore questions related to menstruation, hygiene, and pain. These interactive areas are designed to spark deeper conversations and raise awareness on critical issues faced by adolescents.
For personalized support, we offer a Safe Space—a quiet, private room for one-on-one consultations. Equipped with a bed, this area is especially dedicated to providing comfort for girls who may need rest or assistance during their menstrual cycle.
Providing reusable sanitary pads and essential hygiene items to keep girls in school.
Interactive workshops teaching girls about menstrual health, puberty, and self-care.
A welcoming environment where girls can ask questions, share experiences, and get support.
Your support helps provide sanitary products, educational workshops, and safe spaces to girls in Kigali.
